ABOUT ME

Born in Suffolk in the late 90s, I began to get into writing at the age of ten. Having created characters on a Lego Batman video game, a friend and I began to write stories about their adventures. After a brief period of writing fanfiction, I once more focused on creating my own characters and worlds.

My first book, South Sanctuary, was inspired by The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. I found myself wanting to write stories from the sort of perspectives that I had not be able to find growing up and Haddon's book resonated with me greatly. Unbeknownst to me at the time, part of the reason I related to the main character, Chris, so much was that I had Asperger's syndrome myself. I was diagnosed in 2016.

Besides writing, I have maintained several other long term interests. I enjoy cross-stitch and knitting, often doing these while watching TV. I have also always held a great love for history, archaeology and true crime, studying Archaeology with Forensic Science at the University of Exeter and graduating in 2020. My love for folklore and mythology has recently inspired Golden Lines, which I hope to turn into a series.
